What are the main drawbacks of the original joystick (carbon film / MR)?
1. Stick drift (most common)
Symptom: When the stick is centered, the screen moves on its own, the character walks automatically, and the view rotates slowly.
Cause: The original components are carbon film potentiometers / MR magnetic resistors, which operate by the friction of metal brushes against the carbon film; long-term use leads to wear, dust accumulation, and oxidation by hand sweat, causing the center resistance to shift and resulting in drift.
