Guide overview

Before you begin

For the updated iFixit guide, click here. This guide has been archived for historical purposes. This guide will show you how to replace your broken or non-responsive iPhone 13 OLED display assembly. If you have a cracked or non-responsive screen for your iPhone 13, follow this guide to replace it. Note The light sensor affixed to the back of the display will need to be transferred from your old display screen assembly to your new display as it’s paired to your individual iPhone from the factory. Please note just replacing the display on your iPhone 13 will stop the Face ID function from working, this is because the display is linked to the logic board, you would need to transfer over the display IC to keep this function, this does require soldering and a high level of training.True Tone functionality will not work with a screen replacement, even when using an original Apple screen.
